Do the Quik videos eat up the customer’s data plan?
By super compressing the video using the algorithm designed specifically by Quik’s software team we have developed a manner of reducing the video size and data consumption. The resulting data usage is significantly lower than a standard YouTube video.
Is Quik integrated with my DMS?
Quik Video in the USA is integrated with a number of Dealer Management Systems, including CDK, Dealertrack, AutoMate, DealerBuilt and PBS. Additional DMS integration is currently in development and others in the planning stages.
Why Do I Need Video?
Video engages and allows the customer to get the information in a simple, visual manner they understand. This makes the process easy for the customer as they can clearly see the work that needs to be done on their vehicle. This, in turn, makes the buying decision process a much simpler one.
Will my technicians be able to make good videos?
Yes, in fact, the most common statement heard from dealer principals upon completion of the onsite training is “I’m amazed at how good my techs are at making videos”.
How long are the videos?
The videos can be up to 4 minutes but the average video length is 1 min 17 sec.
Do I need permission from the customers to send a video?
Yes, Quik Video treats data and consumer privacy very seriously. As such dealers are required to obtain consent from each customer. Although this may sound like a daunting task it is achieved very easily by simply adding an opp code to each RO which reads (Customer agrees that dealer may contact them via Phone, Email or Text) Should the customers wish to revoke their permission, they can do it at any time by unsubscribing from Quik Video messaging system.
How strong must my WiFi be?
WiFi requirement is 9 Mbps of upload speed, which is far less than most dealers would currently have.
Do my advisors get notification once the customer watches the video?
Yes. Every time the customer watches the video the advisors will be notified by email and internet browser notification.
How long do I have access to the videos?
Once your video has been created and sent, it will stay on the system, allowing you to revisit the video whenever needed and are stored for review for 3 years.
Am I limited to the number of videos I can make?
No there is no limitation on the number of videos. We encourage dealers to make as many as they like and are amazed on a daily basis of Dealer creativity and ingenuity of video usage in all aspects of their business.
