When a Technician carries out an MPI, in the traditional sense, he hands the MPI to the advisor, who is then charged with informing and ultimately selling the customer the recommendations. But as is the case throughout the industry, the advisor cherry-picks the recommendations that he or she will share with the customer, it is a reasonable assumption that the advisor will tell the customer only about 50% of the recommendations the technician has made.
But when the technician makes a video and sends it to the customer, the customer hears about 100% of the recommendations and therefore the customer is making the decision on what they will or will not buy and is not limited to the information shared by the advisor.
Furthermore, the customers now understand what is being recommended and why, not to mention they heard it from the one person in the dealership they really trust, the technician.
